Well water and water ionizers

Q: I have well water that is neutralized by calcite and then run through a softner. The pH is 7.7 and ORP is ~ + 30. Will the unit still be of value? Will it bring the ORP down to neg mV
A: It all depends on the minerals remaining, since the ionization requires enough minerals.
You probably know that the calcite raises the pH and because it's a mineral gets into the water making it harder. Then the softener uses salt in order to remove minerals via ion exchange.
My guess is you'd want to add a re-mineralization unit or use an ionizer that includes a re-mineralizer option in it's filter - which some do.
