UltraDelphi Water Ionizer Review

Retail Price $2,895

As an under counter model the UltraDelphi water ionizer represents one of the more high tech water ionizers on the market. The big claim to fame is the advanced electronics that allow you to run the machine and set the levels.

As is often the case in the Water Ionizer world the question is:

1) Is it worth the sticker price of $2,895?

2) Is there another comparable under sink model for less?

The Company

The UltraDelphi Water Ionizer is manufactured in South Korea by the Company Emco Tech.

Being sold through MLM raises the price above normal most often, however the Alka Viva Company formerly called Ionways does a nice job of educating consumers about Water Ionization and its benefits.

Mesh Plates VS. Flat Plates

There's a lot of controversy (or rather a lot of marketing ploys) about the difference between mesh plates and flat plates.

On one hand an argument can be made that the mesh plates allow more surface area hence raising the ionization of the water by exposing the water to more surface. Less expensive to make the mesh plates will allow smaller unit,s or units that use less plates, to get results usually found in machines with more plates.

On the other hand the argument is made that the mesh plates also retain more residue and hence need replacement more often (a costly expense). There is also some concern that the added resistance of mesh to the water can cause higher heat, and hence higher wear on the parts.

It's probably only a problem in terms of long term cost but not a major factor in results. Flat titanium Platinum plates still retain the reputation of being the gold standard.

I like the technology and the quality of this unit which takes the controls and puts them on the counter without taking up the space of the whole ionizer. Price still becomes a factor.

If you want to be able to control the water ionization levels from the counter top (without having to reach for the machine under the sink to change those levels) then perhaps the $2600 for the Delphi Water Ionizer is for you.

If on the other hand you like to find a water ionizer that is more affordable, or perhaps an under sink water ionizer without paying for the additional technology, follow the link below to compare under sink water ionizers.
