Tyent 9090 Turbo Review

Retail Price: $3,495 (Often on sale for $2,395)

The Tyent 9090 Turbo Water Ionizer is one of a few 9 plate (titanium-platinum) water ionizers now on the market. Above the $3,000 mark it starts to get close to the Kangen ionizers and with it comes the most frequently asked questions:

Q: Is It worth $3,500?

Q: Are 9 plates worth the added expense?

5 vs. 7 vs. 9 Plate Design

Sometimes more is better...EX: money...happiness...freedom.

Sometimes it's not....EX: carbs...expenses...bills...and plates.

There are number of reasons why 7 plates have become the standard:

Plate Efficiency - The reason there are very few 9 plate ionizers is similar to the reason for more 4 and 6 cylinder cars - and very few twelve cylinder cars. As much as I loved my 12 cylinder Jaguar it required more maintenance, cost more to buy, and fewer ocassions where I could open it up to break the speed limit.

Surface Area - 1 large plate could have the safe surface area as let's say 12 small plates, but would be an odd fit on your counter top. Over 10 small plates wouldn't be efficient electrically and would cost more to produce.

Maximum safe ORP and pH ranges - Too extreme an alkaline level can also be harmful. 7 is a good number for cost, counter size, and if well made will get you where your going in ORP and pH.

Expense - The difference in price between 7 and 9 is quite an added expense, and an added profit for a water ionizer company. More is better doesn't apply here. 7 is plenty...

I like the Tyent 9090 Turbo Water Ionizer. It's just the price that keeps me from recommending it.

My suggestion is to take a look at some of the other 7 plate models reviewed on the site and the comparison charts.
