Tyent 7070 Review

MSRP $2,895

Overview

Note: The Tyent 7070 water ionizer has been reintroduced by Tyent as the MMP 7070 Turbo at a higher price.

As a 7 plate Ionizer the Tyent is one of the elder statesmen of the industry. Made in Korea they have a long term reputation in the field and overall good reviews. So:

Q: Is it worth the price?

That's what we'll be looking at.

First Look Inside

I am currently testing the Tyent pictured below and will have more updates shortly. First impressions is that it is well made, which is what i would expect from Korea, and that it is easy to use. Some of the highlights:

3 Alkaline and 2 Acid settings along with one purified setting

Dual Filters - one which adds min erals which is helpful in R/O water or well water which can have low mineral levels.

if you've had personal experience with this model (even though it is discontinued) I'd like to hear more about your experience .Please write me via the right menu. Thanks...

Conclusion

The Tyent 7070 [ which is now replaced by the Tyent 7070 Turbo water ionizer - some Distributors may still have them but they are not in production at this writing] is a good, quality water ionizer with a relatively good track record in the industry.

Warranty and Guarantee - The warranty is now 10 years, whereas their newer models have a greater lifetime warranty now in place. A 15% restocking fee for returns - if you're not happy it will cost $400 plus shipping.

Price: You can often find it on sale online...for $1,000 less than the list price

In the end I like the design and the quality which went into this model. However I do feel that for the price there are comparable water ionizer machines (same level of quality and performance) for less money.
