Jupiter Water Ionizer

Overview

Let's take a quick look at the Jupiter Water Ionizer line of water ionizers.

The five models start at $1,200 and go up to $2,695.00 for their cutting edge counter top faucet (or rather under-the-counter with a faucet on the sinktop) model.

Here is a list of those five models and their prices:

"Venus" Jupiter Water Ionizer - Retaii Price: $1,295

"Melody" (also called Isis) Ionizer - Retaii Price:$2,195

"Athena" Water Ionizer - Retaii Price:$2,195

"Delphi" Water Ionizer (Under Counter) - Retaii Price:$2,695

Below is a "broad sweep overview" of the company and some of the specs on each of the Jupiter Water Ionizer models. IMPORTANT NOTE:

For my in-depth review on these models (pros/cons, video on some) please see the left menu or the links further down.

I've been both used and been aware of the Venus Water Ionizer for many years now and besides my own personal experience with Jupiter I've been gathering reviews on the other Jupiter water ionizer. This information will be posted and distilled into my conclusion.

Jupiter Ionizer Company Info

The Jupiter Water Ionizers are currently made in South Korea by a company called EmcoTech, and are distributed in the US by the Network markeitng Company called Alka Viva formerly called Ionways.

Their home office is loctaed in Goyang City (which is just outside of Seoul, South Korea). Then the factory is in a small city/town called Bucheon Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. As with most water ionizers some of the components are made elsewhere.

Venus Water Ionizer - $1,295.00

While it was not my favorite water ionizer (of all the ones I have owned and tested) it did the job, was easy to use, and was modestly priced.

Today however I would look for a more current model (newer technology) in this price range with 7 plates and perhaps a more affordable replacement filter.

Athena Water Ionizer - $2195

One of my best friends became a Distributor (MLM) of the Athena Juipter Water Ionizer. That's been a good thing as this influx of MLM Distributors into the Water Ionizer arena raised awareness of Water Ionizers across the U.S.It also gave me a chance to test it out.

The question about the Athena posed to me most often was not about the function of the Athena (which worked well and continues to work well for him) but rather the cost of the Athena. Was it too much money, given the MLM markup to cover many upline commissions?

First of all I love the talking voice it has, telling me that Alkaline water is being produced. It has decent specs and is very easy to use. My answer to the price question is that I would suggest people do some shopping - as if it just comes down to price there are comparable and better models for les. When you buy a water ionizer however you are paying for the education and service a local Distributor can give you.

Conclusion

There are things I like about teh Jupiter line of Water Ionizers. Here are a few highlights:

PROS - I appreciate that they are not overpriced, or rather that they are reasonably priced for the average consumer. Especially considering that they are largely sold through MLM, which tends to raise the price to pay out Distributor commissions on many levels.

I love the under counter design - but find the price prohibitive.

CONS - The Mesh Plate Technology technology of the Jupiter models - while giving more surface area to the Ionizer for the ionization ability - also creates more little pockets for additional residue and buildup on the plate surfaces. This means more maintenance and a shorter plate life (which is an expensive and complicated procedure).
