H2O Ionizer Review

Full Retail Price: $1,995.00

The H2O Ionizer is a 5-plate Korean Made Water Ionizer. In this review we'll look at some of the Pros, Cons, Spec's and information on this model.

Although we have owned and dissected many of the water ionizers on the market we have not taken apart this model so most of the feedback in this review is based on the spec sheets, users manual and consumer feedback found online.

Pros and Cons

While most products coming out of Korea are of good quality there is a difference in manufacturing prices between each country. Japan being the highest, followed by Korea and then China.

Here are my pros and cons on the H2O Ionizer :

1 - Good pH Range

3 - 5 Year Warranty

1 - 5 Plates (5 plates are ok but depending on power supply may not deliver widest pH range)

2 - The plates are "coated" ("dipped") not electroplated which holds some concern regarding the titanium leeching into the water when it deteriorates.

3 - Doesn't use FDA safe Plastics (most plastics release chemicals that mimic hormones which can affect the bodies immune system and hormonal balance)

4 - Filters cost $74 (not the highest priced filter on the market but for a small filter high)

5 - The Mesh technology, while providing some additional surface area, also means additional maintenance and shorter plate life.

6- A bit on the high priced end for a 5 Plate Machine.

PRICE: From a price standpoint he H2O ionizer is a bit high priced for my taste, considering it is a 5 plate model and superior 7 plates models can be purchased with more current technology.

DESIGN: While the "Ionizer Plate" debate would point out the drawbacks of "mesh" technology (as found in this model) the construction and Korean origins appear from all indications to make it a quality product.
