Are the health benefits really what people claim?
I'll just say that as a treatment alkaline water and the effect of the ions has a powerful affect on the body. I'm going to write a booklet on how to use it properly, as it's about finding the right pH balance and every body is different from it's starting point. I don't just drink the alkaline water, I also drink artesian water for some of the other qualities it has.
You hear about the many benefits about using alkaline antioxidant water including more energy and a host of other benefits which, frankly, sound miraculous.
One of the benefits claimed is better performance by athletes through improved hydration. The claim is that water ionization creates smaller clusters of water molecules that are found in ordinary water, and that these micro clusters are better able to penetrate into organs and cells.
In a marketing brochure by one of the leading brands it says that the water has "a pH of 8.5 to 9.5" and helps the body balance the effects of eating acidic foods such as meat and eggs.
Another CEO of a major ionizer brand says that 70% of customers who provide feedback report benefits, such as improvement in diabetes, depression, and lower cholesterol levels. He says customers "love it, use it daily and see the absolute value in owning the machines. Science will at one point absolutely validate the health benefits." Many of the benefits are due to the fact that the water has a negative charge and is an antioxidant.

For this Alive Water Ionizer Review I had the opportunity to speak with the CEO of Alive Water Ionizers:
LE: What made Alive Air get into this business when you were primarily an Air Purifier Company?
ER: I've owned a Kangen water ionizer for some time and have known about alkaline water ionizers long before they became popular in the U.S. I'm 30 plus years in the air purification and natural health industry - which of course started as a young boy in the 60's because of the asthma and allergies - I've been involved with water purification of all kinds almost as long.
So people have been asking me about water for years and because water ionizer machines are finally catching on here in the U.S. one of my business partners began looking into ionizers being made in China and Japan. He's one of the top electrical engineers in the world and travels to China every month so he knows everybody, every factory, and who is making what.
Almost right away he saw that the water ionizer technologies being used were very outdated, and very overpriced. At least that's my opinion.
LE: What do you mean by outdated?
ER: Many of the electrical connections, and power supplies, to the low-grade plastics with questionable chemical levels, you name it. This is simply because the quality standards are higher in the U.S. than overseas, and there's more awareness of toxins here.
I'm not saying other models are bad, just that there was lots of room for improvement. Having overcome environmental sensitivities myself I was driven to get the unsafe plastics out.
The hormone-like substances are a primary reason why there is a rise in Breast Cancer. The Breast tissue is the most vulnerable part of a woman's body because it responds to and absorbs these hormone like substances.
Sorry for digressing from Ionizers but my Sister had breast cancer, and I can't imagine creating a product which some people claim helps cell problems - yet use materials that can contribute to the actual problem. It's an integrity thing.
Alive Water Ionizer Review Continued After The Video....
LE: So you saw the potential for something better, a better water ionizer?
ER: Our designer made me aware of this. I don't know about you but there are 3 things I seek as an educated consumer I want: #1 the best technology #2 the best quality and #3 a great price. I get bored if what I'm doing doesn't help people, or is simply duplicating what everybody else is doing.
LE: Is any water ionizer made in the U.S.?
ER: Unfortunately no - and we're hoping at some point we can bring some jobs back here with our products, I really am. That's the plan and I've talked to our partners about it. Most people don't realize that China has more debt than we do - because their government subsidizes the factories so they can lower prices which take U.S. jobs away. Unfortunately we couldn't survive making the product in the U.S. right now, but hopefully that will change. Sorry for the politics of it all.
LE: Has this unit been tested?
ER: Yes, and more thoroughly than any we have seen. It is the only one using ETL certification. UL certification is your basic certification but ETL is very expensive and looks at an additional 200 levels of quality. Just as important, it means that periodic inspections at the factory continue, which doesn't happen with Ul or CE certification, which is like the European version of UL.
Chinese factories have to be monitored because they dont have the same standards we do and some can slip from quality. I've seen water ionizers with problems because of this. You have to have representation and quality.
LE: You have a special price of $895.00 going on for the Alive Water Ionizer?
ER: Yes, and while many people tell us we should sell the Alive Water Ionizer for $1,200-1,400.00 I'd like to make it affordable for more people. By selling it online and not selling it through MLM or through Distributors we can keep the price down.
Even though our design team has been working on the design for several years we're a young company when it comes to ionizers, although we've been in the industry for many years, and it will take time for people to know about us.
LE: Besides this alive water ionizer review where can people learn more?
ER: The alivewaterionizers.com site.
