Alive Water Ionizer reviews

Q: What is the cost and part number for the R/O remineralizing filter on the Alive Water Ionizer?

A: SAME PRICE AS THE REGULAR FILTER - $39.95. THEY ONLY SELL THOSE OVER THE PHONE (TOO MANY PEOPLE GUESSING ABOUT WHAT THEY NEED RELATIVE TO THEIR WATER SUPPLY). THE REMINERALIZATION IS SLIGHTLY LESS IN LITRES BECAUSE THE MINERALS TAKE UP SOME OF THE CLEANING ABILITY WITHIN THE FILTER CHAMBER. IF YOU HAVE R/O WATER THE REMINERALIZATION IS A MUST.

Q:Are replacements less due to plastic housing not needing to be replaced?

A: YES. BUT IT"S MORE THE PRICE IS WHAT IT IS BECAUSE OVERCHARGING PEOPLE IS NOT NECESSARY.

Q: Cost and part # of the replacement filter for inside the Alive Water system?

A: $39.95

Q: Are the titanium and platinum plates just as well made and long-lasting as Emco's or Kangen's?

A: YES (ALTHOUGH THE PLATING PROCESS I BELIEVE IS BETTER)

Q: Do the plates "die" or need replacing at some point?

A: NOT IF THEY ARE PERIODICALLY DESCALED

Q: How many gallons of ionized water before you need a new machine?

A: YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET MANY YEARS FROM THE MACHINE, UNLESS YOU HAVE A VERY BAD SOURCE WATER PROBLEM WHICH WILL AFFECT THE MACHINE, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS NOT CLEANED.

Q: The other companies report an acidic value of 2 pH, whereas the Alive Water achieves a pH no lower than 4.5. Why is Alive Water unable to match what the Athena claims to do? Will future Alive Water Ionizers be able to?

A: IF YOU BUY AN ATHENA (AND I HAVE ONE), OR A KANGEN OR ANY OTHER IONIZER (I own a kangen too), THE LIKELY HOOD OF REACHING A pH of 2 IS VERY SLIM. THE KANGEN ONLY GETS THAT LOW WITH THE CHEMICALS ADDED. THE WATER CONDITIONS MUST BE PERFECT SO WE DECIDED TO BE MORE REALISTIC - EVEN THOUGH OUR UNIT MATCHES THE PERFORMANCE OF EITHER ONE.

ALSO - THERE IS NO REASON TO GO TO 2 - WHICH IS POPULAR IN THE ORIENT BECAUSE THEY HAVE SOME BAD BACTERIA STRAINS IN THE WATER WHICH YOU DON'T FIND IN THE U.S. THIS IS FOR CLEANING ONLY.

Q: Where is the system sent to for repairs? What is turnaround time?

A: Repairs go to Los Angeles. The turnaround is probably 5-6 days
